We had our first clinic last Friday. Saw 53. The doctor we have hired saw 36 and Dianne saw 17. Not bad for her first time. She is finally able to do what she has always wanted. There was much confusion but it was a great success. The local people who have been helping us are so very happy that there clinic is open again. We have pictures that we will be sending later.

Back some time we gave ourselves to the service of the Lord. He had a need here in Guatemala and so here we are. Sometimes when you pray for something the answer is not what you expect. We ask to take us out of our comfort zone. We have been out of our comfort zone so often that been in our comfort zone is almost boring. We ask the Lord to use us for his service. We now realize that to do what He has placed before us cannot be done in 6 months. After a lot of prayer and discussion we have decided to extend our stay here in Guatemala to possibly 2 years. We committed to sacrifice for the work. The sacrifice is that we will have to sell our house in Asheville to be able to fill the need here. For those of you that are our friends in Asheville, do not be sad, be happy for us. This is what we are suppose to do. Asheville will always be home and we will be back every few months. So continue to pray for us and wish us well. Through Christ we serve.
